Tribal no. 001

This is a very special one! It´s more of a sculpture than it is a vase. There´s an understated rock ´n roll vibe to this piece.

This piece is inspired by ancient African fabrics which I encountered in a museum in London back in 1999. The pattern and the rhythm of the designs really struck me with their intricate designs. Now, many years later, this experience has got an outlet in this piece.

Wheel thrown black stoneware. Unglazed interior and exterior (please note: For decorational purpose only, not waterproof.) Embedded with metal studs in a pattern inspired by ancient African tribal art. One of a kind, Special Edition.
