Description: This piece is wheel thrown by hand, then wood fired and attended to for 14 hours non stop! Ash and salt glaze on stoneware clay. The atmosphere in the kiln makes each piece unique and impossible to repeat. It´s fired to approx. 1320 degrees Celcius / 2408 Fahrenheit. Inspired by ancient Japanese ceramics.
I rarely fire in a wood fired kiln, so this is special to me.
